Quang Tri, DMZ and Vinh Moc Tunnels
DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), with 5 km on either side of BenHaiRiver, was marked as demarcation line of South and North Vietnam during the Vietnam-America war. However, the DMZ and its surrounding have becoming one of the biggest battlefields during the war. Even though the war has passed for more than 20 years, your visits to the sites during this trip will still bring you back to one of the hardest time in Vietnam’s recently history
You will commerce the trip from Hue by a drive to Quang Tri province, on the way visit the Frame of Church, and Bo De school. At the Church, you can see lots of holes of fires on its walls. Atter a short break at Dong Ha town, you will log on the Highway No1 and visit Hien Luong bridge which pass over Ben Hai river, which was bombed to destruction by the US.
You will cross to the north back of the river to visit the Vinh Moc tunnels - a system of channels underground made by the Vinh Moc villagers after being bombarded by the US Air force.
After having lunch in a local restaurant, you will come back to Highway No9, on the way visit the Dakrong bridge on Ho Chi Minh trail, old fire-base: Rock Pile (from a distance) and Khe Sanh. You will have the opportunity to encounter with the Van Kieu Ethnic Minority, who inhabited in the region. You will arrive back in Hue in late afternoon.View More : Hue - Danang - HoiAn
